In the Netherlands, Dag en Nacht Media, together with Tonny Media, forms the backbone of Podimo’s success — with hit shows like De Borrelpraat, VSR en en Daphne's Hulptroepen. The network reaches millions of listeners each month — attracting advertisers ranging from major brands to theatres and start-ups.
As the podcast advertising network grew, so did the need for more structure and visibility into each other's work. Sales Director Anko Steenbeek recognized the urgency to take action and began searching for a solution that matched the way their team operates.

The challenge
Bringing structure to a creative and complex sales process
Dag en Nacht Media offers a wide range of advertising formats — from mid-rolls to social posts. Every campaign is unique, tailored to the brand, target audience, and the podcast’s style. This creativity pays off, but it also made the behind-the-scenes sales process complex and time-consuming.
The team encountered several bottlenecks in their day-to-day work:
- New leads came in via email → Data had to be entered manually, which hindered both clarity and speed.
- Quotes were manually created in Google Slides → This worked well for the creative preparation, but once an official quote was needed, a digital solution was missing. Anko wanted to be able to create, track, and get quotes signed — all within a single system.
- After approval, all information had to be re-entered into Business Central → This manual step was error-prone and slowed down the entire process.
Business Central worked well for internal processes like invoicing and planning, but lacked support for managing customer relationships. The sales team needed control over the process and visibility into each other’s work — essential when running multiple campaigns at once. That’s why Anko started looking for a CRM system that could support and automate their way of working.

The solution
HubSpot became the central platform for leads, customer contact, and sales follow-up.
Dag en Nacht Media chose to switch to HubSpot themselves. The decision was based on the platform’s scalability and ease of use — exactly what was needed for their dynamic and creative way of working. Due to the complexity of their challenge, HubSpot connected them with Cuex as an implementation partner.
According to Anko Steenbeek, Sales Director at Podimo, the connection with Cuex was immediate.

What we achieved:
- A central customer environment in HubSpot where all client data comes together.
- A custom quote module to build creative campaigns with product groups, styled in their own brand identity.
- Smart automations and workflows to reduce manual tasks and streamline processes.
- Fully digital signing, including agreement to the terms and conditions, plus an automatic notification in the sales Slack channel..
- An integration with Business Central, sending signed deals directly to invoicing.
The impact of the new way of working is immediately noticeable in daily operations. Quotes are created and signed more quickly, information is centrally accessible, and the number of manual steps has been significantly reduced.
The team collaborates more efficiently, has greater control over active deals, and can forecast more accurately based on real-time data. “We no longer do any work without a signed contract. That saves a huge amount of time, prevents errors, and brings peace of mind to the team,” says Anko.
